Willow (pictured) is 1yr and not spayed. She wasn't going into heat when she was using clay litter at first, I was trying to save some money so I switched to pellets. After about a month she stopped using them every time and began peeing on our bed and pooping in the shower. Since then I have switched back to clay thinking the litter was the problem but even though she stopped pooping outside the box, she still owes on our bed. Is this because she's intact?

--serotonin-- . 17 hr. ago Get her fixed. It isn't just male intact cats that pee everywhere to mark territory. Also, what if she escapes? No matter how careful you are, sometimes cats do dumb things. One of our old cats loved to sit in the window and popped out the screen and fell out.

_Compulsion_ · 14 hr. ago In post history you say you have 4 cats. How many litter boxes do you have? Having a box for each cat (+1 in my case) has helped with my cat who pees on things when he feels wronged. He's particular about where he goes, he actually usually pees in one, and poops in another. I've even watched him use one and walk over to the other immediately after. My other cat isn't as particular and will drop bombs in all 3 boxes. Having 3 just ensures they are always clean enough for

    • bambilup 17 hr. ago If she's healthy, she's peeing because she is not spayed. One of our cats was the same, peeing on everything until we spayed her.

duffy40oz 14 hr. ago • Once she's spayed, she'll stop. The Humane Society provides an affordable spay. Our cats (especially female) seem to be back to normal within a few hours. Try to keep them as calm as possible.

Crazy-Cat-Lady-1975 15 hr. ago Get her spayed, keep the litter box clean, and clean the soiled areas of the house with an enzyme cleaner such as Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution. Intact cats, including females, will spray to mark territory.

arcticskies · 12 hr. ago This has nothing to do with her not wanting to go outside or you thinking you're "responsible enough". What you're doing is putting her at unnecessary risk of developing health complications like ovarian cysts and UTIs in addition to her spraying your home with urine.

disdkatster · 15 hr. ago Once a cat has urinated on something, whatever it is, that is a scent they will keep going back to as the place they are meant to use. You can get a product that will eliminate the smell (enzyme made specifically for this) and start with that. Has she been declawed? This is where a problem often begins. A declawed cat will find a litter very painful and will look for something soft to relieve

themselves on. You may need to isolate her until she is 'reprogrammed'. Get a large cage/kennel. Talk to your vet. She may have a urinary infection which means so has little to no control. Lots of possibilities. You have my sympathy. We were adopted by a declawed cat who had this issue and we had to religiously keep all things that could tempt her as a place to wet, out of her reach. Loved her to bits but it was exhausting.

I_AM_Killa_K 15 hr. ago I have no insight to offer. I merely wish to express how adorable that cat is and she absolutely has the face of a cat refusing to use her litter box. She's a lil' stinker.

. Bitteroldcatlady1 · 6 hr. ago Former Vet tech. Spay her, have vet do U/A-may be UTI, crystals. Do this quickly before this becomes a habit. Put litter box on mat newspaper on bed and slowly move daily until in desired spot (you can obviously take off bed while you sleep ) If this is behavioral you need to work quickly to ID as there are several meds that can help her. Whatever it is, she does not care. She is a naughty Queen and you are her servant. That face!
